Well rested, and ready to continue "normal day life".
Normal day life of work? The normal routine of juggling church, family, work, friends, personal time? No. In the mist of the busyness over the last two weeks, I learn that's not the purpose of life. Yes, all these things are aspects in life, but not the main focus. At the end of the day, God is not interested in how involve you are with church, how close you are with your family, how hard you worked at the office, how many friends you have, or even how "spiritual" you are. Our life is for one purpose, and that "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work." (John 4:34)
And what is His will? To serve in ministry? Yes, but also no. One could be serving for the sake of serving. One could be preaching because he like to preach. But that's not the reason why we should serve.
"You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
~Mark 12:32-33
We should serve because we care about the people.
"The Good Shepherd puts the sheep before himself."
~John 10:11 (THE MESSAGE)
We are called not only to serve, but to serve people. So now that I'm well rested, time to care about those around me, and serve them.
