Cry in my Heart
Starfield
There's a cry in my heart
For Your glory to fall
For Your presence to fill up my senses
There's a yearning again
A thirst for discipline
A hunger for things that are deeper
Could You take me beyond?
Could You carry me through?
If I open my heart?
Could I go there with You?
For I've been here before
But I know there's still more
Oh, Lord, I need to know You
For what do I have
If I don't have You, Jesus?
What in this life
Could mean any more?
You are my rock
You are my glory
You are the lifter
Of my head
Lifter of this head
It has been a while since I've posted, and boy, it had been an adventure. My first year of seminary is completed. There was it share of joy and tears, laughter and bitterness. But in the end, our God is Lord - and our God reigns!
The school term is done, now preparing my heart for the upcoming mission trip. Oh, God has blessed me so much for the trip, it will provide the details in an upcoming post. Also, I am now the elected treasurer for the 2006-07 Tyndale Seminary Student Council. It was during the student council retreat, the words "For I've been here before, But I know there's still more" rang true.
Standing in the basement of my cabin at Fair Glen, I broke into tears. Fair Glen, Gospel Church Joint Youth Camp, 1995. Speaker: Pastor Carl Strut. Because of his encouragement when I ran him in Vancouver in 2004, I am now at Tyndale. Memories flooded my mind. God's hand clearly at work in my life. I was just little less than 8 months ago since I began my journey at Tyndale... and now I'm part of the student council. God is the master potter, he is able to shape a lump of murky clay into a masterpiece, as long as the clay has not harden itself.
I'm excited of what God will do. "But I know there's still more." In a little more than a week, I will be in Hong Kong. My mission to share the gospel to my grandparents. And in a little less than a month, I will be in SE Asia, letting God lead me wherever He wishes - literary.
There is still so much more, as long as I let Him show me.
